Since the age of 5, John has enjoyed singing in front of audiences as small as 3 persons to 5000 people. He is the oldest of four children. He began singing at his local church. Later at the age of 13 he started playing the piano and keyboard. A few years passed he played the trombone under the direction of his high school instructor. As time progressed, John embraced song writing. In his writing and vocals you will hear influences ranging from Marvin Winans, Brian McKnight to Take 6.
John has enjoyed performing worship songs at small and large congregations. He has a passion to sing good music with a positive message beyond church walls. He desires to see music performed with a positive tone of Good News of Jesus Christ to bring hope and encouragement wherever he goes.
He has performed at University of MO and Washington University sporting events, NBC affiliate television station, radio and coffeehouses in Missouri, Virginia, and Kansas. He enjoys performing a variety of styles that range from Traditional and Contemporary Christian to R&B and Jazz. He has produced five different CD projects. After completing his undergraduate at University of Missouri, John manages to stay busy. He currently is producing a CD project that features the Hopkins family. He also is a guest Christian motivational speaker, instructional designer and videographer for a variety of different clients.
